The intended purpose of the JETT® is to treat extremity wounds in the thigh/groin region where tourniquets cannot be applied to stop bleeding. This tool allows the provider to successfully mitigate junctional hemorrhaging in patients that would otherwise bleed out in minutes. Penetrating trauma, blast injuries and amputation are examples of injuries that may require treatment with this device. The Junctional Emergency Treatment Tool™ (JETT®) includes two separate pressure devices in a single tool. This allows for simultaneous occlusion of blood flow to both lower limbs with an easy to apply, ready-to-use belt solution.
